Cut out a hodgepodge of pictures out of magazines and paste each one on a separate piece of cardboard. Place them all in a lunch bag and then take turns selecting a few at a time and linking them in a story. To keep the stories going strong, freshen the bag periodically with new pictures. Tape record to save the children’s stories.
An example: “Once upon a time there was a blackberry pie-eating monster who met a bear. A dragon came along, scared the bear away, and ate all the pie. The monster couldn’t find any more pie, but he did see a big, shiny ring. He put it on. Then ......”
